2025 Stuff the Bus to Benefit WV Resource Center

The 1st Annual Stuff the Bus will take place on Friday, August 1st.  We are hoping to fill a total of 5 busses with new school supply donations from viewers and sponsors!

Over 50 volunteers will be ready at the WV Resource Center FREE Store to "unstuff" the bus, sort, and count donations, and stock the shelves of the WV Resource Center FREE Store.

Event Information

WHAT:  Stuff the Bus to Benefit for WV Resource Center

For our 1st Annual Stuff the Bus, we are hoping that hundreds of Huntingtoners will donate thousands of items to our FREE Store through the annual Stuff the Bus for event.

WHEN:  Coming in July 2025

The event typically takes place on the first Friday of August, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Stay tuned for details on the 2025 event!

Look for the bus and event tent in front of the station! Meanwhile, the WV Resource Center facility is bustling with activity as volunteers and staff un-stuff each bus and count every item donated. It's a great way to involve your workplace team or community group to help more kids have the tools they need to start the school year excited and ready to learn.

HOW: Be a part of Stuff the Bus 2025

There are several ways to participate in Stuff the Bus and WV Resource Center Back to School Campaign.

1. Sponsor the WV Resource Center Back to School Campaign.
2. Host a collection drive for new school supplies or backpacks. Bring your donations to the bus or drop them off directly at WV Resource Center on the event day.
3. Host a Mini-Build to stuff backpacks or pencil pouches. We supply the items, and you supply the volunteers to prep school supplies at your workplace or community event.
4. Donate school supplies! Bring new items to the bus during this one-day collection drive

Not in Huntington? That's ok! You can still participate in Stuff the Bus by:

1. Making a financial contribution to the WV Resource Center Back to School Campaign, which kicks off on August 1st and runs through September 15 each year!
2. Spreading the word on Social Media to your friends, family, and followers in the Huntington and surrounding area!
