The West Virginia Resource Center is an excellent destination for volunteer groups! Whether your part of a company, work team, church or temple, youth group, school, or community organization, we welcome your support. There are numerous meaningful tasks available that will directly impact the success of the students we serve.
Our group volunteer opportunities are best suited for groups of 8–12 people. If your group is larger, please contact the volunteer coordinator to confirm availability.
Volunteers at the West Virginia Resource Center program must be 16 years or older. Children ages 12-15 are welcome to volunteer when accompanied by an adult or older sibling.
For student groups, we require one adult for every four students.
Volunteer shifts are typically 2-3 hours long.
We generally schedule group volunteers on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and two Saturdays each month.
Threads For All
This program offers a continuous opportunity for individuals who enjoy knitting, crocheting, or sewing to donate handmade hats, scarves, and mittens for students in need. Materials such as yarn and fleece are often available for use.
